Warren Lodge No. 52 in Belvidere acquired
its warrant on November 14, 1826. The work was suspended in 1828 and
stricken from the roll on November 8, 1842. The Lodge was resuscitated on
January 10, 1849 at which time it was renumbered as Warren Lodge No. 13.
In 1856 Homer S. Goodwin was the Master of
the Lodge. What followed next for Worshipful Brother Goodwin was a typical
